T'Garath has been hunting me for about fifty years now, forcing me to avoid the Ork Nation even when I believe trade with them is vital for all of Barsaive. Many years ago I inadvertantly insulted T'Garath's current wife when I politly refused a dance with her. My embarrasement at this lapse in etiquette would have died out rather quickly if some one didn't attempt to kill his wife at that very same moment with poison in her drink, unfortunate really, she was rather pretty for an ork. T'Garath, seeing that I had just refused a dance, figured I was guilty of the crime, don't look at me for the answer, he was always hot headed, and age hasn't helpped it at all. He quickly ordered his guards to detain me, but luckily my friends were closer than the guards and we left without delay.
T'Garath Dar was born a human, or so that is how the legend goes, I never did get a chance to confirm that particular rumor. He was born into one of the most influencial families of the time, whether the family was powerful due to armies or some other source it is unknown to me, perhaps he will one day let me know. The future looked bright for yound T'Garath Dar, who would one day be Lord Dar, but T'Garath was betrayed by his brother who, three years younger, was jealous of his brother's position in life. His brother, whose name I believe to be G'Sar, was born an ork, and so as you might guess was not treated well by his family. It was this that led him to strike a deal with a powerful Nethermancer who promised to reverse the brothers' positions in life.
Unluckily for the Nethermancer however, T'Garath was a promising Wizard himself, and once the spell was cast, was able to trace it to the caster, who is violently and bloodily killed. He left the Nethermancer's body in his brother's room as a warning of things to come. T'Garath exiled himself from his homeland and went in search of power, no matter what cost it came at. So, T'Garath roamed, he traveled to lands where there was no rain, and the wind was hot enought to burn you. He visited realms ruled by women warriors who had no need for men except as breeding stock. And then T'Garath returned home.
Thirty years had passed since his brother's betrayal. His mother and father were dead, G'Sar controlled the family holdings and was now Lord G'Sar. T'Garath returned, not looking a day older than when he had left, and the fire of anger and hate still burned strong in his heart. He moved quickly, not allowing the soldiers to apprehend him before he reached his brother's private chambers. Upon entering his brother's room, he found G'Sar, laying in his bed, covered with many quilts to help keep the fall chill off him. His eyes were sunken and his breath was ragged. G'Sar looked to be nearly a hundred. The spell the Nethermancer had cast may have changed the physical appearance, but it did not change the life span. While T'Garath moved to his brother's side, G'Sar gasped and died.
Robbed of his vengeance T'Garath moved across the land with tremendous might, leveling all opposition that stood in his way. Villages and cities alike feared his coming, for the only thing he had on his mind was blood and death. A period of ten years passed, and at the end of those ten years, T'Garath vanished. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when it was confirmed that he wasn't attacking some distant village or small city, and no one questioned as to why he left.
Unfortunately for me, he came back when the Scourge was over. His goals are uncertain at the moment, but they cannot be good. Bewary of his approach. For now he seems content to stay in Cara Fahd and live with those who do not ridicule him cause of his appearance, but should he ever leave his new home, I will be among the first who travel as far away as possible...
