Ah, The Vase of Blooming, how I remember it semi-well. I came across this wonderful artifact fairly recently actually, when I was smuggling some true-wood out of the Blood Wood. The vase is covered with blue roses, each rose containing three to four sharp thorns dripping with blood. I'm sure it was created by an outsider since the elves of Blood Wood don't have anything close to resembling a sense of humor.
The character must learn the proper name of the vase
When roses are placed in the vase, whatever room that the vase is in, or an area equal to 25sq feet, will smell like Spring. Effect will last only as long as the flowers are alive.

Character must create a flower arrangement that his adventuring group approves of and then places it in the vase.
The vase will now create an aroma of springtime that will flow through the entire house or an area of 250sq feet.
The vase not only creates springtime freshness, but it also keeps the flowers alive three times longer than normal.
